HISTORY OF Illizi
Illizi wilaya is located in the far southeast of Algeria. The wilaya extends over about 284 618 km², and thus represents more 12% of the total area of the national territory. The wilaya is organized into the Great South region, which also includes the state of Tamanrasset. Its location, adjacent to three neighboring countries, gives it a strategic, sensitive location.
